Meet Ian Ulrich

My professional story began in sales and marketing, and ultimately would take me all over the world as a leader in national companies with teams of over 1,000 people.

Later, as co-founder and CEO of Just For Krypto, we scaled from twelve computers in a storage room to one of the largest privately held Bitcoin mining operations in the United States.

Throughout my professional career I was also a volunteer firefighter and first-responder in the community I lived in. This experience was extremely meaningful to me, I was awarded three Heart-Saver pins and was very proud to serve on this team. I also experienced trauma and PTSD during my time in these roles. I didn’t know it at the time, but these issues would lead to many problems in my life because I was unwilling to seek help.

And then, it happened.

I went from CEO to felon, arrested for possession of a controlled substance. My mental health was in shambles, I was 371 pounds, I had zero connection to anything spiritual, and my version of community was just as sick as I was. I went through a divorce, was fired from the company I started, and had to learn how to co-parent my daughters who I love so much.

The consequences were immense.

This sad story has a happy ending, though. I spent the next two years redefining my community, prioritizing my mental and physical health, and have had too many spiritual experiences to count.

Today, I help people and families develop tools to grow and thrive. I volunteer, am of service to the recovery community, serve on the Executive Committee of The Gopher State Roundup, and enjoy a beautiful, simple, predictable life. I share my story openly at jails, treatment centers, and meetings. I have a beautiful relationship with my children, and a healthy relationship with my ex-wife.

And, I continue to work every day on the four pillars that saved my life: Mental Health, Physical Health, Spiritual Connectedness, and my Community.
